The Moonlight - 2003 Report & Results

The Bowmen of Malgrave Moonlight shoot took place on Saturday 27th September. The weather was remarkably good yet again.

Chris Bushell got things under way with judge Robin Frost and Lady Paramount, Christine Glass. With nearly 75 archers registered and 66 on the night it promised to be a good shoot.

The general standard of shooting was very good this year. Our helpers were fired up with enthusiasm, torches, metal detectors and a keen eye , but were quite disappointed as there were so few lost arrows! A new  A big thank you to Robin Frost for keeping the shoot in order.

This year we had an excellent number of junior archers take part along with our first 3 longbow archers.

Carl Merry did his usual sterling job on the barbeque keeping everybody supplied with burgers and we had a number of helpers dispensing tea and coffee. A number of archers announced on arrival that they were only there for the barbeque!
