Club Activities

Every year the club takes part in a number of activities that help promote archery as a sport for all the family.

Come and Try Events:

The Bowmen of Malgrave run a number of Come and Try events during the course of a year. These events are always popular and are either run at the club grounds or at other various local fund raising events.

In 2002 the events supported were:

Roxwell Village Golden Jubilee celebration: Over £100 was raised and this was donated to the local church and community hall restoration funds.

Every one who had a go at this event enjoyed themselves and we have been invited to run another Come and Try in 2003 as part of the Roxwell Festival. 

De La Salle School fete: The club always supports this event as they are kind enough to let us use their grounds for the clubs annual clout shooting championships. 

Basildon Rugby Club: annual fun day. 

Ford Open Day in Basildon: with members of other archery clubs in the area. Over £1000 was raised in aid of the Essex Air Ambulance
